||Some Sup6T module will not boot up on bring up and fall to rommon prompt on first boot|
Select Supervisor Engine 6T (Sup6T) modules might fail to automatically boot up with Cisco IOS in the initial startup and fall back to ROM monitor (ROMMON).
A test script bug in one of the test servers resulted in a configuration error in the manufacturing process. A fixed script was deployed to the production server on December 22, 2016 and units produced after that date are not affected.
During the first boot, the affected Sup6T Supervisor modules will not automatically boot up with Cisco IOS and fall back to ROMMON.
When the affected device is at the ROMMON prompt, enter the boot command in order to manually boot.
Once the device boots and is at the Cisco IOS prompt, enter the commands as shown in these steps and save the configuration.
1. Enter into the Global configuration mode.
Router #configure terminal
2. Configure auto boot.
3. Exit from the Global configuration mode.
4. Save the auto-boot setting.
5. Reload the configuration in order to reconfirm.
